What the plan can include
Hip and knee procedures
Conservative care for hip and knee arthritis
Not ready for surgery? Physical therapy, medicines, injections, and other UHealth options come first for many people. Surgery, when it is time, stays with Dr. D’Apuzzo at Tower West and SoLé Mia.
Not ready for surgery? HipRobotic total hip replacement
Minimally invasive posterior approach (piriformis-sparing) when it fits your anatomy. A robot is used to help place the implant to the plan we make for your hip. This is not an anterior or “bikini” pitch. It is a posterior approach that aims to protect the piriformis. We will tell you if a robot is part of your case.
Robotic hip in Miami KneeRobotic total knee replacement
For knees worn by arthritis when a full replacement is the better option. Robotic-arm assistance is used to follow a plan built from your own knee. It is a tool, not a promise of less pain or a faster calendar. Recovery follows a rapid-recovery pathway. Timelines vary.
Robotic knee in Miami PartialPartial knee replacement
When arthritis is limited to one part of the knee, a partial replacement may be enough. Not everyone is a candidate. Imaging and an exam decide, not this page. Whether a robot is used is decided in clinic.
Who qualifies for a partial Same dayOutpatient hip and knee replacement
Some patients go home the same day. That is a selected pathway — medical, social, and therapy pieces have to line up. It is not guaranteed. If you stay overnight, that can still be the safer plan. Pain control is opioid-sparing when appropriate. That is not the same as opioid-free.
